Outstanding in the Field is a restaurant without walls. These events started in 1999 and since then, they've set huge outdoor culinary events at farms or gardens, on mountain tops or in sea caves, on islands or at ranches. Occasionally the table is set indoors: a beautiful refurbished barn, a cool greenhouse or a stately museum.
Ingredients for the meal are almost all local and generally prepared by a celebrated chef of the region.
Wouldn't this be magical if it could happen in Indonesia? I can imagine seeing this happening in the Bogor Botanical Gardens or maybe below Monas. Or hey, why not at Yayasan Usaha Mulia's Organic Farm? :) Anybody wants to join me?
